As part of a response to the demand by Dorset residents for coverage of Dorset news and local events on both radio and television, the BBC, while working on plans for major improvements, is asking for stories from individuals that it can publish. On 21st May, 2007 Matt Newsum of the BBC hosted an Open Workshop for residents of West Dorset who might have a story to tell, aimed at encouraging them to provide their stories, and also to help encourage others to come forward.( view poster ) Examples of stories can be seen at BBC Dorset 'Unheard Voices' If you would like to know more or, better still, if anyone has a story to tell (on any subject at all), please contact us at swedbag@swedbag.org.uk and we'll put you in touch with the right person. |
