Following the joint BBC/SWEDBAG press conference on Monday, 2nd April 2007 , in which Graham Plumb, Head of BBC's Distribution, presented the results of a survey on analogue television reception, the BBC took their Information Bus round specific towns in South & West Dorset to answer any questions residents may have. Unfortunately, there was little prior notice of the tour and some towns were not visited leading to many residents expressing considerable disappointment. SWEDBAG is pleased to advise that the BBC has kindly agreed that the Information Bus will return to West Dorset in early September – details to be advised shortly, but we anticipate that it will go to at least Sherborne and to the Dorset County Show in Dorchester. We hope residents will be able to take advantage of this unique opportunity to get help and advice on any broadcasting topic from BBC & Digital UK experts who will be on the bus, especially bearing in mind the forthcoming switchover to Digital Television in just two years' time. |
